About the Board

Staffed by the Police Department, the Activate Community Talents and Interventions for Optimal Neighborhoods Task Force (ACTION) deals with issues such as the nullification of gang development through increased positive community involvement and the creation of alternatives to gang life including jobs for youth, increased youth activities, education in parenting, and others.

Members

Two Council Members appointed by the Mayor with the advice and consent of the Council, the Police Chief, and select community leaders appointed by the Task Force.
