Transit’s Mission Statement
To provide our Community with a safe, friendly and reliable transportation experience.
Transit Service
Our system combines the benefits of traditional fixed route service and demand response service for Transit Functional Needs qualified passengers.
The bus follows a defined route, picking up and dropping off passengers at designated stops. The bus will also “deviate” off of its route within a three-quarter of a mile radius when a Transit Functional Needs passenger has been identified and an advance reservation has been made.
Hours
We provide bus service to Inyokern Monday through Friday and service to Randsburg on Fridays via appointment only.
Transit Functional Needs
Equal Access
Ridgecrest Transit provides all citizens’ equal access to its transportation services under Title VI of the Civil Rights Act and it is also the intent of Ridgecrest Transit that all citizens are aware of their rights to such access. If you feel that you have been discriminated against please follow these links to our Title VI (English) (DOCX) or Title VI (Espanol) page.
Transit Functional Needs
Printable copies of the Americans with Disabilities Act Transit Functional Needs packets (PDF) are available. Physical copies are available on every bus and at City Hall. This paperwork helps us to evaluate your transit needs to determine the best possible way for you to use our transit system.

Once you have your Transit Functional Needs request approved and you need to schedule your deviation appointment you may do so by calling our Transit Dispatch Office at 760-499-5040 between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
